This blog is purely a creation of my own and will be used for the exclusive purpose of humoring my self and my friends. If for some reason that you would happen upon this blog and I will make an oath to you that I will never put your opinions into consideration of what I write.
Moving on, I'm super bummed with the situation of living in Daejeon and having all the music that I think is worth while being held on Sunday evenings in Seoul. One of the bigger interests that I had in moving to Korea was checking out and getting involved in the music scene here. For the most part its a lot of punk and hardcore. Ten years ago I would have been in heaven. I have moved beyond punk. Even the aesthetic of the "amateur," which I i love, isn't enough to draw me into it. I'm not knocking Korean punk and hardcore, the Korean part has nothing to do with it. I just don't like punk or hardcore.
However, I am going to start a personal journey to explore and find the best Korean 80's punk or new wave. I started looking for Japanese punk/new wave/ no wave / post rock from the 80's and found a ton of quality stuff. Some other dude has a great blog about it, just type Japanese no wave and you will find it in google or something. All the shit I'm looking for exists, for sure, but I just have to track it down and put some effort into it.
I wonder if ever there was a person that was writing her blog and then like a ton of cops kicked open the door, and the she wrote "Oh shit, its the cops" on her blog, logged out, and then dealt with the cops. I wonder if that ever happened.
